THE AWARD

Awards of £1,000 per year of study are available to international students who are nationals of the least developed, low and lower-middle-income countries (as defined by the World Bank as of October 2021).

If you are eligible, this award can be combined with the Keele International Excellence Scholarship.

ELIGIBILITY

Enrolled international students who are accepted onto any undergraduate programme (including Foundation Year but excluding courses delivered at the Harper and Keele Veterinary School) and are a national of one of the following countries. Please note that this list is defined by the World Bank and we compile this list annually.

EXCEPTIONS

Qualifying recipients of the scholarship will receive the award in the form of a tuition fee discount. No cash alternative is available and the award cannot be used in place of any required deposit.

The Scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students who will be based at Keele University and start their studies in January 2022 or September 2022.

Only self-funding international students are eligible and you must be confirmed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes. The scholarship is not open to students who are in receipt of funding from external bodies such as local Governments, charities or private organisations.

The scholarship is not available for students studying wholly online courses delivered by Keele.

HOW TO APPLY

International applicants holding offers for selected undergraduate programmes will automatically be considered for the Keele Developing Countries Scholarship. You do not need to submit a separate application for an award.
