THE AWARD
Awards of £2,500 per year of study are available to international undergraduate students across a wide range of subject areas (please see exclusions below).
If you are eligible, this award can be combined with the Keele Developing Countries Scholarship.
ELIGIBILITY
Enrolled international students who exceed the published entry requirements (as per the prospectus for the year of entry) will automatically be awarded the scholarship as a tuition fee discount.
Keele Foundation Year students progressing to a UG course at Keele will also be eligible for the tuition fee discount.
Exceptions
Qualifying recipients of the scholarship will receive the award in the form of a tuition fee discount. No cash alternative is available and the award cannot be used in place of any required deposit.
The Scholarship is for full-time undergraduate students who will be based at Keele University and start their studies in September 2022. The award cannot be used for any other year of entry.
The scholarship is not available for students in the following programmes:
- entering Foundation Year study
- Medicine programmes
- Programmes delivered through the Harper and Keele Veterinary School
Only self-funding international students are eligible and you must be confirmed as an overseas student for fee-paying purposes. The scholarship is not open to students who are in receipt of funding from external bodies such as local Governments, charities or private organisations.
The scholarship is not available for students studying wholly online courses delivered by Keele.

HOW TO APPLY
International applicants holding offers for selected undergraduate programmes will automatically be considered for the Keele International Excellence Scholarship when we assess your application and receive official evidence of your entry qualifications. You do not need to submit a separate application for an award.
